Sadr Region, September 26 2020
The Sadr Region is also known as IC1318 or the gamma Cygni nebula. The star near the centre of the image is Sadr, in the constellation Cygnus, and the part of the nebula complex just to the left is often called the Butterfly Nebula.

This is another example of my efforts to set up 2 sets of equipment at the same time. This image was captured on the same night as that of the Messier 92 Cluster. In processing this image I learned a new technique in Photoshop, courtesy of a very generous and highly experienced imager who regularly helps newcomers improve their skills.
What he taught me was to use the Selective Colour tool in Photoshop to achieve a better balance in the finished image. Prior to doing this, the image was a bit orange in colour rather than the deep red you can see now. What the Selective Colour tool allows you to do, is to make adjustments to differently coloured parts of the image independently of each other, so in this case I could specifically remove cyan from the red areas to intensify the red colour without making either the background or the stars appear changed.
It's fair to say that this was my personal favourite of all the images I had taken up to this point, and by quite some distance.
