The Messier 92 Cluster, September 26 2020

The Messier 92 Cluster, or M92 or NGC6341 is a globular cluster in the constellation Hercules.

More information about this object can be found on its Wikipedia page.

This image is the third of my attempts at combining my very long focal length scope with the small pixel camera to try to get high resolution images of very small objects. Once again, it is easy to see the strange star shapes, but nevertheless I was quite happy to have something that captures a little bit of the beauty of one of these clusters. If nothing else, it is satisfying to be able to display the different types of stars in the cluster, i.e. the hot bright blue stars, as well as the cooler dimmer yellow ones.
