Astrosurface is a fairly new application that I discovered very recently. My first impression is that it builds on the well established method of using wavelet sharpening and deconvolution that has been in use for many years, and makes it easier to find appropriate parameters for the process that result in impressive images. My two most recent images of the moon in close up used this application instead of my previous workflow of using Autostakkert and Registax.
